For over 45 years, The Child Care & Learning Center (CCLC) has provided high-quality child care, preschool, and after-school care for Rappahannock County’s children from three months to 12 years of age. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Level 3 provider through Virginia Quality. CCLC uses a research-based teaching curriculum, The Creative Curriculum. We offer year-round child care, daily outdoor play, USDA-approved meals, and our Children in Nature program.

CCLC is a Rappahannock County leader in providing preschool and child care to families of all income levels. We achieve this utilizing funding from the Virginia Child Care Assistance Program, private donations and grants. CCLC is currently working with the Rappahannock County Public Schools and other local child care providers to create additional subsidized preschool placements to support the goal of school readiness by age 5. We are fortunate to be a recipient of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation’s Mixed Delivery and Preschool Development grants in support of these efforts.
