Preschool Program

The Preschool program is for children ages 3-4 by Sept 30.

This program is available for a reduced day (8:00-3:30) or full day (7:00-5:45), for 3, 4 or 5 days a week.

Preschool children are thirsty for active play that stimulates and challenges their bodies and brains. The goal of our preschool program is to help children build important foundation skills which contribute to kindergarten readiness and beyond. Research confirms better outcomes for children who have participated in a high-quality preschool experience. Our teachers use the Creative Curriculum® to intentionally plan fun, hands-on lessons with the children’s current interests in mind. The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Lessons are planned using the technique of “Studies” which begin with children’s questions to create a web of investigation. Studies enable children to develop their confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. Our programs include developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children in the primary learning domains: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, language, literacy, social studies, art, math, science and technology. Our teachers use Teaching Strategies Gold® online developmental assessment system to gather, assess and follow the developmental progress of each child’s growth. CCLC preschool teachers build a stimulating environment for learning. The preschooler’s job is to play, explore, and learn within the safe haven of his/her preschool classroom and playground.
