Administrative Team

Lisa Paine-Wells, Executive Director: Lisa brings extensive understanding of children and family services to CCLC. She has been a successful project management consultant for over 15 years. Prior positions include Senior Project Director at Kids Insight, a behavioral health software startup marketing to public child welfare and juvenile justice, and Senior Consultant for the Annie E. Casey Foundation. She holds a BA in Social Work and Women's Studies from the University of Maryland and a MPA in Human Services Management from the University of Baltimore. Lisa joined CCLC in January 2019.

Lisa Pendleton, Program Director: Lisa began her early childhood career in 1992 when her children were attending CCLC. After many hours of volunteer time, Lisa made the switch from nursing to teaching in 1992 and became Program Director in 2014. She holds several Lord Fairfax Community College certificates in early childhood education, an AA in Education, and a BS in Professional Communication from Old Dominion University. Lisa is a Child Health Care Consultant through the Virginia Department of Health, an American Red Cross Instructor, Medication Administration Trainer, a Nationally Certified Playground Inspector. Holds a ServSafe: Food Protection Manager & Allergens Certification, a ServSafe Food Protection Manager & Food Handler Exam Proctor, Child Nutrition Professional (CCNP) & Managemnt Professional (CMP) certification through Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP USDA) National Restaurant Association, a volunteer for Rappahannock Rapidan Medical Reserves, a certified Teachstone CLASS observer for Infant, Toddler and Pre Kindergarten and a Professional Development Specialists with the Council for Professional Recognition for the Child Development Assoicate (CDA) National Credentialing Program.

Kim Goodwin, Office Manager: Kim has years of experience in classroom teaching, CACFP USDA coordination, and after-school and summer enrichment programming. She has been employed at CCLC since 1988. Kim holds a Child Development Associate credential from Lord Fairfax Community College, a ServSafe: Food Protection Manager Certification through the National Restaurant Association and a Virginia Early Childhood Administrator Professional Credential.

Classroom Management

Cassie Meredith, Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher: Child Development Associate Certificate, Currently enrolled in a BS Program in Early Childhood Education. Employed since June 2016.

Christal Lind, Trinity Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher: Child Development Associate Certificate. Christal joined CCLC in June 2015 and has worked in multiple classrooms.

Katherine (Katie) Lapinskas, TOT’s Lead Teacher: AAS in Early Childhood Development, Lord Fairfax Community College, BS in Law & Society, Penn State, June 2022. Employed since November 2018.

Renee Espinola, Two’s Lead Teacher: AA candidate, holds Lord Fairfax CC Early Childhood certificates. Employed since February 2017.

Cindi Summerfield, Early Threes Lead Teacher: BS in Nursing, Shenandoah University. BA in Business Administration, Chowan University. Lord Fairfax Community College AA in Education candidate. Cindi holds a Virginia Early Childhood Administrator Professional Credential. Employed since May 2018.

Amy Ruble, Preschool Lead Teacher: AA in Early Childhood Education, Montgomery County Community College. Employed since April 2004.

Elvira Yanez, Preschool Lead Teacher: AA in Education, Lord Fairfax Community College. Employed since August 2013. (CCLC Alumna!)
